Solution Architect _ MERN Stack

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled MERN Stack Solution Architect to join our team on a part-time basis. You will design scalable full-stack web applications, guide the technical team, and manage development workflows. This role requires 1015 hours per week, with initial on-site presence and a transition to a fully remote setup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and document scalable, efficient, and secure web solutions using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
• Lead frontend and backend solution architecture for MERN applications.
• Review the existing MERN-based systems and propose improvements for scalability and performance.
• Oversee the development of custom web and mobile-friendly applications.
• Provide technical mentorship to MERN developers on best practices.
• Manage development tasks using Jira and ensure timely delivery.
• Conduct code reviews to enforce standards, clean code, and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into full-stack designs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend/backend integration issues.

Requirements:

• 4/5 years of professional experience with MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js).
• Strong experience in frontend development (React, Redux/Context API, Hooks) and backend APIs (Node.js/Express).
• Proficiency in REST APIs, GraphQL, and cloud-based deployments.
• Knowledge of MongoDB performance tuning and indexing.
• Familiarity with Docker, containerized deployments, and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript best practices and design patterns.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, Jira, and DevOps workflows.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Preferably based in Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
