Solution Architect _ Java Spring Boot

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Spring Boot Solution Architect to join our team on a part-time basis. You will design robust backend solutions, guide the technical team, and ensure smooth task management. This is a flexible role requiring 1015 hours per week, with some initial on-site presence and the option to transition into a fully remote role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and document scalable, efficient, and secure backend solutions using Java Spring Boot.
• Define and lead technology strategies and architecture for backend and microservices.
• Review the existing Java-based systems and propose improvements for scalability and efficiency.
• Oversee development of bespoke enterprise web applications built on Spring Boot.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the Java development team.
• Manage development tasks via Jira, ensuring timely delivery.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical system designs.
• Support the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex backend issues.

Requirements:

• 4/5 years of professional experience in Java backend development.

• Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate.

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, microservices, cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Solid knowledge of RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and caching solutions (Redis).

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and enterprise architecture patterns.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Jira and Agile/Kanban concepts.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Preferably based in Islamabad/Rawalpindi.
