Senior Procurement Engineer
Job Description:
Job Summary
The Senior Procurement Engineer will be responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle for mechanical spare parts, industrial equipment, and maintenance-related services. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and ensuring the timely availability of materials required for manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing activities and identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers.
- Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies to ensure cost efficiency and supply reliability.
- Manage purchase orders and ensure compliance with specifications, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and conduct technical and commercial comparisons.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and service agreements with suppliers.
- Coordinate with internal departments to align procurement activities with operational requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and establish long-term strategic partnerships.
- Resolve supplier-related issues, claims, and delivery discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure timely processing of supplier payments.
- Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects within the procurement function.
- Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of procurement experience within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical spare parts, industrial equipment, and maintenance services.
- Proven experience in sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices in manufacturing environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
