Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager will lead end-to-end warehouse and inventory operations to ensure inventory accuracy, material availability, efficient resource utilization, and timely dispatch. The role will oversee warehouse teams, inventory-control systems, material-handling processes, operational improvement initiatives, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a managerial position reporting to the Head of Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead warehouse operations covering raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, spare parts, and consumables.
- Ensure accurate and timely receiving, storage, issuing, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
- Develop warehouse strategies, operating procedures, and performance standards aligned with supply-chain objectives.
- Manage inventory levels, stock movements, cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation processes.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor minimum, maximum, and safety-stock levels while reducing obsolete and slow-moving inventory.
- Optimize warehouse capacity, layout, space utilization, material flow, and handling processes.
- Implement Lean Warehousing practices, including 5S, visual management, Kanban, and process optimization.
- Oversee domestic deliveries and export dispatch operations while maintaining service-level targets.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, environmental, quality, and audit requirements.
- Manage the warehouse budget, control operating costs, and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Develop warehouse dashboards and monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, turnover, utilization, picking accuracy, on-time dispatch, productivity, and cost per transaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 8–12 years of experience in warehousing, inventory management, or supply-chain operations.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in a warehouse managerial role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale warehouse operations and inventory-control systems.
- Strong background in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, FMCG, or multinational organizations.
- Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or an equivalent platform.
- Good knowledge of inventory planning, Lean Warehousing, warehouse safety, cost control, and performance management.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, planning, and cross-functional communication skills.
