Specification Engineer

Job Summary

Our client is a leading company in the Door Hardware and Manufacturing industry based in First Settlement, New Cairo, Egypt, with established operations in the Egyptian market. They are seeking a Specification Engineer to prepare technical specifications, product documentation, and commercial offers while guiding consultants on selecting the correct door hardware solutions for different projects.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyse project requirements based on the project's size, scope, and technical specifications.
• Prepare material and equipment specifications required for door hardware projects.
• Complete standard specification forms with accurate dimensions, quantities, units, and technical information.
• Prepare technical and financial offers according to project requirements.
• Develop product data sheets, technical submittals, and supporting documentation.
• Guide consultants in selecting and applying the correct door hardware solutions.
• Prepare project cost summaries covering equipment, materials, and additional expenses.
• Monitor financial performance within the assigned area and take corrective action when required.

Key Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering.

Experience

• At least three years of relevant experience in the architecture or architectural specifications field.
• Previous experience in door hardware or door manufacturing is required.
• Experience preparing technical specifications and commercial offers for projects.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of architectural specifications and door hardware applications.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and project requirements.
• Proficiency in preparing technical documentation, product data sheets, and material specifications.
• Good commercial awareness and cost-estimation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Effective communication, presentation, and consultant-management skills.
