Alteration Projects Manager
Job Description:
We are hiring an Alteration Projects Manager to oversee residential and community alteration projects from request review through execution and final handover. The role will manage schedules, budgets, contractors, technical compliance, and homeowner expectations while ensuring safe, high-quality project delivery. You will also lead project teams and coordinate with internal departments, consultants, and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage alteration project processes, workflows, and approval procedures.
- Review alteration requests, technical drawings, specifications, and approvals.
- Prepare project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and cost estimates.
- Supervise engineers, site supervisors, contractors, and consultants.
- Monitor site progress and resolve technical or coordination challenges.
- Manage contracts, variations, vendor performance, and project costs.
- Ensure compliance with construction, safety, quality, and community regulations.
- Oversee inspections, snagging, handover documentation, and homeowner communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
- 10–12 years of experience in construction, fit-out, or project management.
- Previous experience with residential or community alteration projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fit-out works, technical reviews, and construction processes.
- Proven experience in contract management, budgeting, cost control, and scheduling.
- Strong leadership and team supervision capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder, contractor, and customer communication skills.
- Strong understanding of risk management, safety, compliance, and quality standards.
