About the job Freight Forwarder
What you'll be doing:
- Build and maintain rates in the operational system based on the needs of both internal and external clients.
- Coordinate and follow up with ocean carriers, ports, trucking companies, and overseas agents to ensure the timely release and delivery of cargo.
- Process requests within the established timeframes.
- Explore various transport options with shipping companies, trucking companies, and group agents, negotiating the best possible rates for clients.
- Negotiate tariff rates.
- Monitor and update rates in the operational system.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for overseas agents and suppliers.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry.
-Work in the US time-zone
Who you are:
-Fluent in English (at least C1 or more)
-Has at least 1 year of experience in ocean freight operations
-Experience in an international company would be a plus
-Self-confident, team player, committed and results-driven
