About The Role:

We are seeking a driven Junior Field Engineer to join our team on a high-impact mining project. In this role, you will support construction, operations, and maintenance activities by providing technical expertise directly in the field. You will collaborate closely with project managers, trades, and senior engineers to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to spec.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with field execution of engineering tasks related to earthworks, concrete, utilities, mechanical and electrical systems
  • Track progress and assist in interpreting drawings, specifications, and work packages
  • Support field inspections and quality assurance efforts
  • Interface with contractors, trades, and vendors to resolve issues and track deliverables
  • Contribute to field documentation including daily reports, RFIs, as-builts, and redlines
  • Monitor adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Provide input into construction planning, sequencing, and logistics

About you:

  • Degree or diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Mining, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 2-5 years of field experience in mining, heavy civil, or industrial construction
  • Strong understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management tools (e.g. AutoCAD, or Primavera an asset)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work in a site-based, rotational or FIFO schedule

Please note that you will be required to work in an industrial environment. This may include working at heights, dirty/dusty and noisy environments, and confined spaces. All personal protective equipment and site-specific training will be provided.
