About this role:
We're looking for an AI Engineer Intern who's hungry to build, test, and deploy applied AI systems- not just models, but products. You'll be working directly with the founding team to bring intelligence into every layer of the hiring process.
This isn't an academic role. It's a hands-on, build-and-ship internship where you'll apply LLMs, prompt engineering, and workflow automation to solve real hiring pain points at scale.
What you'll do and work on:
- Prototype AI agents that support decision-making, candidate matching, or workflow automation
- Fine-tune LLM prompts and models for hiring-specific use cases
- Experiment with vector DBs, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- Collaborate with product and engineering to embed AI modules in the platform
- Run internal A/B tests, validations, and benchmarking for AI features
Education & Eligibility:
- Currently pursuing a diploma/degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, or a related field in Canada.
- Enrolled in a co-op program (Note: this is only eligible for unpaid co-op placement).

You might be an ideal fit if you:
- Have hands-on experience with Python, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, or similar frameworks
- Understand the difference between building a model and building a system
- Enjoy turning abstract ideas into smart, simple, working prototypes
- Have a strong interest in NLP, LLMs, recommendation systems, or agent-based systems
- Think like a builder and care about product outcomes, not just technical accuracy
- Are comfortable working in ambiguity and moving fast with a learning mindset
Bonus Points for:
- Building an AI assistant, GPT, or internal agent in the past
- Experience with Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, or embedding frameworks
- Knowledge of prompt chaining, multi-agent systems, or hybrid workflows
- Contributions to open-source AI projects or hackathon experience
This is not a watch and learn internship- you'll get to experiment, prototype, and ship things that go live and matter.
