Electrical Lead Engineer (Mission Critical Construction)

Omaha, NE (Onsite)
Full-Time | Mid-Senior Level
$110K–$130K + Relocation Support

Build What Cannot Fail

A leading, nationally recognized construction organization is seeking an Electrical Lead (M/E Engineer) to support complex, high-performance environments where uptime, precision, and execution excellence are non-negotiable.

This is not a coordination role.

This is an opportunity to own electrical systems across the full lifecycle—from preconstruction and design validation through field execution, commissioning, and turnover.

What You'll Do

  • Lead electrical scope execution across mission-critical or complex construction projects
  • Evaluate and influence design decisions, constructability, and system performance
  • Drive M/E coordination across subcontractors, design teams, and field operations
  • Develop and refine budgetary estimates, sequencing strategies, and system recommendations
  • Review drawings, shop submittals, and specifications to identify risk and improve outcomes
  • Support and lead commissioning activities, including functional testing and documentation
  • Ensure alignment to quality, safety, and schedule commitments
  • Contribute to value engineering and continuous improvement across projects

What Sets This Role Apart

This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Engineering + Construction Execution
  • Design Intent + Field Reality
  • System Performance + Operational Excellence

You will be trusted to challenge designs, optimize systems, and deliver results in environments where failure is not an option.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • ~5+ years of experience in construction, M/E engineering, or mission-critical environments
  • Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and construction documents
  • Experience with:
    • Subcontractor coordination
    • Shop drawings / submittals
    • Commissioning and system testing
  • Understanding of constructability, sequencing, and field execution realities
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive outcomes under pressure

Why This Opportunity

  • Work on high-impact, technically complex projects
  • Gain exposure across preconstruction, field execution, and commissioning
  • Join a team that values precision, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Opportunity to grow into senior technical leadership or project leadership paths
