Currently, we are partnering with a growing Aerospace & Engineering client to recruit a talented Senior Automation Engineer.   We are currently seeking an experienced individual with a focus on factory automation and mechanical system design and integration. Industrial robotics programming and integration experience is a must. CNC machine tool tending, and interface experience is highly desired. Control system software background and PLC programming experience is highly desired as well. SCADA and enterprise system interface experience is desired. Ignition and Fanuc experience are highly preferred.  The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of 3-8 robotics, controls, and software engineers and collaborate and work projects across other engineering and operations teams.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our client's team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions that will improve efficiency, quality, and productivity within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation technologies and a proven track record of delivering successful automation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to improve business processes and operations

- Identify and evaluate opportunities for automation within the organization

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop automation strategies

- Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools

- Conduct regular testing and troubleshooting to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the automation solutions

- Provide technical support and guidance to junior automation engineers

- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automation technologies

- Develop and maintain documentation for all automation processes and procedures

- Train end-users on how to use and maintain the automation solutions

- Participate in project planning and provide input on timelines, resources, and deliverables

- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation engineering

- Strong knowledge of automation tools and technologies such as Selenium, Appium, and Ranorex

- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, and Python

- Experience with Agile methodologies

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

- Proven track record of delivering successful automation projects
