Job Title: Assistant Director of Sales - Nova Maldives
Nova Maldives has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced leader to join our soulful island resort as a Assistant Director of Sales.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Director of Sales/Director of Sales & Marketing, you will play a key role in helping us accelerate growth, strengthen our trade partnerships, and solidify Nova’s position in key markets.
What You'll Do:
- Support the Director of Sales in driving room revenue, ADR and market share.
- Manage key source markets and strategic accounts across leisure, wholesale, tour operators, online and corporate segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, travel agents, DMCs, OTAs and corporate partners.
- Lead proactive sales activity: sales calls, virtual meetings, roadshows, trade fairs and overseas trips.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, rates and allotments in coordination with Revenue and Reservations.
- Work closely with Marketing on campaigns, promotions and trade-facing collateral.
- Coordinate group leads, site inspections and FAM trips to maximise conversion.
- Provide regular sales performance reporting, market intelligence and competitor insights.
What We're Looking For:
- 5–7 years’ experience in hotel or resort sales, ideally in luxury or upper-upscale.
- Solid background handling leisure / wholesale / TO/TA / OTA business (Maldives or Indian Ocean experience is a plus).
- Existing relationships with key partners in priority markets (for example Europe, UK, CIS, GCC or Asia – any mix is welcome).
- Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially sharp with good understanding of distribution, pricing and business mix.
- Confident, hands-on, and comfortable in a target-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Willing and able to travel frequently for sales missions and trade events.

- Delivery of revenue and ADR targets in assigned markets and segments.
- Growth from key accounts and source markets.
- Lead and group conversion and quality of business.
- Strength and depth of trade relationships and engagement
