Nova Maldives is seeking a passionate Guest Service Associate join our soulful island resort!
What You'll Do:
- Deliver warm, professional, and personalized guest greetings and farewells to ensure every guest feels welcomed and valued.
- Handle guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently using the Opera Property Management System, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain up-to-date guest information and local event details to assist guests with personalized recommendations and requests.
- Assist with guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and courteously, reporting to Assistant Front Office Manager or Front Office Manager as needed.
- Support cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and following cash security procedures in line with resort policies.
- Ensure all guest transactions, room postings, and reservations are correctly entered and managed within the Opera system.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth communication and seamless guest experiences.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the front desk and lobby areas to uphold the resort’s luxury image.
- Assist in maintaining daily occupancy statistics and other reports as directed by supervisors.
- Follow all resort policies, procedures, and brand standards to ensure compliance and consistent service delivery.
- Participate in daily shift handovers, sharing relevant guest and operational information with the incoming team.
- Support training initiatives by assisting in the onboarding and mentoring of new Front Office team members.
- Promote spa, dining, room upgrade and resort activities to guests, encouraging additional service usage and upselling opportunities.
- Assist with maintaining stock levels of front desk supplies and ensure all operational equipment is functioning properly.
- Demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and excellent grooming standards at all times in line with resort policies.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience as Guest Service Associate in a luxury setting. Previous experience in the Maldives will be an added advantage.
- Strong command of English language and other foreign languages will be an added advantage.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage warmly and professionally with diverse international guests.
- Demonstrated ability to handle guest requests, feedback, and complaints with empathy, patience, and a solution-oriented approach.
- Basic proficiency with property management systems (Opera experience preferred) and Microsoft Office applications to support daily operational tasks.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences aligned with luxury brand standards.
