Dive Instructor cum Marine Biologist

Nova Maldives is seeking a passionate Dive Instructor cum Marine Biologist to join our soulful island resort!

What You'll Do

• Conduct PADI dive courses up to Dive Master level in fluent English and at least one additional language, following current PADI standards.
• Guide dives and prepare all dive equipment and safety measures for excursion readiness.
• Evaluate environmental conditions before activities to ensure guest safety.
• Deliver daily to monthly and weekly marine biology presentations to educate and inspire guests.
• Support and develop marine conservation programs, including coral planting and awareness initiatives.
• Manage routine dive centre operations such as equipment care, guest service, bookings, and cleanliness.
• Assist with water sport activities and excursions like whale shark and manta snorkelling, dolphin cruises, and island hopping.
• Provide personalized guest interaction, promote resort activities, and maintain guest privacy.
• Address minor guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures and assist with administrative tasks including incident reporting.
• Maintain professional appearance and participate actively in all training sessions.

What We're Looking For

• Certified PADI Dive Instructor qualified to teach up to Dive Master level.
• Fluency in English and at least one other language, with strong communication skills.
• Be a qualified marine biologist with experience and a passion in delivering educational presentations.
• Knowledge of dive and water sport safety procedures and equipment maintenance.
• Ability to assess ocean conditions and prioritize guest safety.
• Excellent guest service skills with a proactive and positive attitude.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in operational and administrative tasks.
• Team player with flexibility to support multiple activities and adapt as needed.
• Commitment to upholding resort standards in appearance, conduct, and ongoing training.
