Bar Waiter

Nova Maldives is seeking a passionate Bar Waiter to join our soulful island resort!

What You'll Do:

• Welcome guests warmly and provide excellent customer service as per set service standards.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen or bar.
• Serve food and drinks professionally and courteously, following the resort’s service standards.
• Set up and clear tables, dining areas, and destination dining venues before and after service.
• Ensure workstations are well-stocked with cutlery, linens, condiments, and service tools.
• Maintain cleanliness of service areas and adhere to hygiene, health and safety standards of the resort.
• Change, count, and manage linen, ensuring replacements for damaged or soiled items.
• Proactively refill condiments, sauces, accompaniments and maintain excellent coordination with kitchen.
• Demonstrate full knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials.
• Present bills, process payments accurately, and follow billing procedures as per resort standards.
• Address and resolve guest complaints professionally and promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Actively participate in upselling initiatives to increase outlet revenue.
• Attend daily briefings to stay informed on unavailable items, guest dietary needs, and special events.
• Maintain personal grooming, uniform standards, and high levels of hygiene at all times.
• Flexibly support other outlets and perform additional duties assigned by supervisors or managers.

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a luxury resort setting. Experience in the Maldives will be an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for outstanding guest service.
• Familiarity with food & beverage service procedures, POS systems, and hygiene standards.
• Candidates should be creative in setting up private dinners, with an eye for detail and aesthetics, and capable of providing seamless, attentive service from start to finish.
  
• Well-groomed, friendly, confident, and courteous with a guest-first mindset.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and across multiple outlets when needed.
