We are seeking a highly motivated Trade Compliance Specialist to join our clients Trade Compliance team. In this role, you will help ensure adherence to international trade laws and regulations, including UK, EU, and US (ITAR/EAR) requirements.
This position plays a key role in supporting business success, maintaining regulatory compliance, and safeguarding national security interests while upholding the highest standards of integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the business in obtaining UK and US Export Licenses, including registration, application, compliance, and accurate record-keeping.
- Manage export, import, and UK customs transactions and associated International Trade Compliance (ITC) requirements.
- Assist with HMRC and ECJU audits and address related queries.
- Support commodity classification for Park Air and third-party products.
- Monitor UK licences and US authorisations to ensure seamless deliveries and compliance.
- Help integrate ITC standards and procedures into business operations and daily practices.
- Organise and deliver training sessions for employees on international trade compliance processes and requirements.
- Conduct due diligence activities, including Restricted Party Screening and resolution of flagged transactions.
- Liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth operations.
- Act as a trade compliance point of contact, advising project teams and employees on ITC-related processes and best practices.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range: £40,000-£45,000
- Flexitime core hours between 09:30-15:00 (14:45 on a Friday)

About You:
- We are looking for a proactive professional with 3+ years experience in a trade compliance or customs-related role.
- Strong knowledge of UK/EU export regulations and ideally US export regulations (ITAR/EAR) for goods, technology, and software.
- Hands-on experience with UK export licensing and customs compliance for imports and exports.
- Experience in delivering training on trade compliance regulations.
- The ability to obtain and maintain UK Government security clearances.
- A background in defence, security, space, or aerospace (preferred).
- The ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
