Sanitation Worker

Job Summary

We are hiring a Sanitation Worker to help keep our pecan shelling and packaging areas clean, safe, and ready for production. This is an entry-level—no experience required. Youll do a lot of cleaning and basic wash-down tasks while following food safety rules and safety procedures. Training is provided.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

• Clean and sanitize production areas, floors, drains, tables, and equipment (as trained)
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and remove trash/recycling throughout the facility
• Help with wash-downs using hoses, foaming/sanitizing tools, and basic cleaning equipment
• Refill soap, sanitizer, and paper supplies; keep handwash and sanitation stations stocked
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and sanitation rules to prevent contamination
• Wear required PPE (gloves, apron, boots, hair/beard nets, safety glasses, etc.)
• Report spills, leaks, broken items, pests, or safety hazards to a supervisor right away
• Work as part of a team to keep the plant clean and production-ready
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications (No Experience Needed)

• No prior experience required—we will train you
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow simple instructions
• Comfortable doing repetitive cleaning tasks and working at a steady pace
• Able to follow safety rules, including careful handling of cleaning chemicals (training provided)
• Spanish-speaking applicants welcome; English preferred for safety and communication
• Available to work 5–6 days/week, including weekends if needed, and day or night shift

Physical Requirements

• Able to stand and walk for long periods
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, reaching, pushing/pulling carts or trash bins
• Able to work around water, wet floors, and strong smells from cleaners/sanitizers

Work Environment

• Fast-paced food production environment (pecan shelling/packing)
• May work in warm, cold, wet, or dusty areas depending on where youre assigned
• PPE required at all times in production areas
