Forklift Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator / Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. This role involves operating heavy equipment, managing materials, and supporting warehouse distribution processes to ensure efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and safety protocols to maintain a safe and productive work environment.

Duties

• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, order pickers, and other heavy equipment such as cranes and pallet jacks to load and unload materials
• Perform order picking using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to fulfill shipping orders accurately
• Assist in shipping & receiving activities, ensuring proper documentation and handling of goods
• Conduct material handling tasks including heavy lifting and moving items within the warehouse
• Maintain safety standards in accordance with OSHA regulations and company policies
• Support warehouse management with inventory control, stock organization, and cycle counts
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency
• Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing minor repairs when necessary
• Ensure all warehouse activities comply with safety guidelines and best practices for heavy equipment operation

Experience

• Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or materials handling preferred
• Experience operating forklifts, order pickers, clamp trucks, crane operations, or other heavy equipment required
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is highly desirable
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety
• Warehouse supervisor experience or construction background is a plus but not required
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor repairs of warehouse equipment is beneficial
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
