Summary of Role

The Senior Solutions Architect is responsible for designing and governing end-to-end technology solutions across application, integration, and data domains within a complex enterprise environment. This role ensures that architecture aligns with business strategy, drives scalability and innovation, and supports delivery teams in implementing robust, secure, and future-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end solution architecture design across applications, integrations, and data platforms.
  • Define and govern API-led and event-driven integration architectures in alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions (primarily Azure or equivalent platforms).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical solutions.
  • Provide architectural guidance across multiple agile delivery teams, ensuring consistency and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain architecture artefacts, including diagrams, standards, and design documentation.
  • Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, security, and resilience.
  • Drive data architecture alignment, supporting both operational and analytical use cases.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and data-driven platforms, to enhance solution capabilities.
  • Support governance processes, including architecture reviews and design approvals.

Qualification

  • 5–10 years' experience in solution or technical architecture within complex enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience in:
    • End-to-end solution design across application, integration, and data domains
    • Designing and governing API-led and event-driven integrations
    • Implementing cloud-based architectures (Azure or equivalent)
    • Working within agile delivery environments supporting multiple teams
  • Experience in data platforms, analytics, or AI-enabled solutions is advantageous.
  • Exposure to agricultural or industrial domains is beneficial but not required.

  • Event-driven architecture and messaging patterns
  • Security architecture and non-functional requirements design
  • Architectural modelling (e.g., UML, ArchiMate) and documentation techniques
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
