Senior Network Engineer

Job Specification

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. This critical role involves managing and optimizing our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various network protocols and designs and will be instrumental in ensuring the robustness and efficiency of our network.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of our network infrastructure.
• Understand and manage the current data flows and protocols used within the bank.
• Ensure network redundancy and optimization to maintain system reliability and performance.
• Manage multicast control and data plane processes to ensure efficient network traffic handling.
• Coordinate and work closely with the Trading Desk and other stakeholders to ensure seamless connectivity.
• Identify potential network issues and implement proactive measures to prevent disruptions.

Required Qualifications

• Network Engineering certification CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience with IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol) across all versions.
• Strong understanding of PIM (Protocol Independent Multicasting) protocols across all versions.
• Proficient in multicast addressing, including IP addressing.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a critical environment connecting trading systems to financial exchanges.
• Background in managing network environments within global markets.
