Wintel and AD Admin - L3

Windows Server Management:

Administer and manage the installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows Server environments and Linux environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows server, networking and hardware.

Ensure all Windows servers are patched and up to date with security updates.

Deploy Microsoft Defender: Install and configure Microsoft Defender on all server environments to ensure comprehensive protection. Identify, analyze, and resolve security-related issues and vulnerabilities within the server infrastructure.

Active Directory (AD) Management:

Configure and maintain Active Directory environments, including user /group management, domain controllers and replication.

Implement and manage Group Policy Objects, Organizational Units and other AD components.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AD replication, trust relationships and user authentications.

Assess Current AD Infrastructure: Conduct a thorough assessment and documentation of the existing Active Directory environment, including domain controllers, FSMO roles, and replication topology.

Perform Compatibility Checks: Verify hardware and software compatibility with Windows Server 2019 and identify any deprecated features or functionalities.

Develop Migration Strategy: Create a detailed migration strategy, including plans for FSMO role transfers, replication adjustments, and deployment of new domain controllers.

Conduct Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks associated with migration and develop mitigation strategies to address them.

Prepare Design Documentation: Develop comprehensive design documents outlining the new Active Directory structure, security enhancements, and updated Group Policies.

Automation and Scripting:

Experience on develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for task automation, configuration management and monitoring is preferred.

Hands-on experience to leverage automation tools like MECM, Altiris for streamlining repetitive tasks.
