ASSISTANT FABRICATOR

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

• 3years of experience in structural/steel fabrication activities

Minimum Entry Qualifications

• ITI in Mechanical/ Fitter or 12th Passed with 6 Years experience

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• The Assistant Fabricators position, align, fit and weld parts to form complete units or subunits, following drawings and specifications, using jigs, welding torches, jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, hammers and hand tools.
• The Assistant Fabricators verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
• The Assistant Fabricator studies engineering drawings as per latest revision to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
• The Assistant Fabricator move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes.
• Assistant Fabrication of beam / assemblies as per drawing
• Inspect and offer to QC for dimensional inspection of fabricated beam as per given drawings.
• Reporting to lead man / Supervisor about any abnormalities observed in equipment's, etc.
• Adhering to safety procedures during all activities.
