Junior Actuarial Analyst

Purpose of the Job

To provide actuarial support mainly in analysing returns submitted in terms of the Pension Funds Act, 1956. The

person appointed to this position will report to the Manager of the Actuarial Services department.

Requirements

• A bachelors degree in actuarial science and should have passed or been exempted from at least three of the A-series subjects of the Actuarial Society of South Africa.
• Work experience in the retirement fund industry will an advantage.

Key Performance Areas

• Reviewing and analysing of the following:
• Statutory actuarial valuation reports
• Valuation exemption applications
• Extension applications
• Section 15E applications
• Section 18 schemes
• Providing support to other Departments within the FSCA; and
• Involvement in ad hoc projects.
