Your Role as an Aged Care Nurse:
Provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents
Support residents physical, emotional and social well-being
Work together with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes.
Mentor and supervise support staff in providing care.
What Were Looking For
- Active AHPRA registration (mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years full-time nursing experience, including:
- At least 12 months of recent medical or surgical nursing experience (within the last 5 years) highly preferred.
- Experience in aged care or nursing homes is highly valued.
- CAP (Competency Assessment Program) placement in NZ is beneficial but not regarded as formal work experience.
- Preparedness for aged care we strongly recommend applicants complete online aged care modules to acquire knowledge before starting.
- Willingness to move to regional Australia
- Effective English communication skills are one of the most valued qualities in aged care to ensure clarity with residents, families and the healthcare team.
