Scrub Nurse

NurturePL is looking for Registered Nurses who are SNB Passers with at least 2 years experience in the field!

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be delivering high-quality perioperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Understanding surgeon preferences for instruments and procedures and ensuring through pre-operative preparation
• Assisting to create sterile surgical fields and maintaining sterility
• You will work closely with surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive safe, efficient, and compassionate care before, during, and after surgery
• Comply with hospital policies and safety standards, maintaining a high standard of patient care

Requirements:

• A Registered Nurse currently registered with SNB and eligible for registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council
• At least 3 years recent theatre nursing experience
• Sound understanding of surgical instruments, equipment and surgical protocols
• Strong understanding of surgical instruments, equipment, and surgical protocols
• Knowledge of infection prevention and sterile techniques in an operating room setting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with the surgical team
• Patient-focused, adaptable, and committed to high safety standards
• Flexibility to work varied hours
