SUMMARY
The Shopify Front End Developer plays a critical role in ensuring optimization success across all websites of our portfolio of Multi-million dollar D2C brands. You will be an integral member in our Tech team, responsible for optimizing all our Shopify web stores for pre-launch, existing web stores and troubleshooting them when necessary. The ideal candidate should adopt a data-driven approach combined with strong analytical and logical reasoning skills.. Qualified candidates are independent self-starters who work well with ambiguity, like building processes and are obsessed with problem solving.
Job Responsibilities
Manage and enhance our existing DTC website experiences with Shopify Liquid.
Develop and optimize our Shopify themes.
Implement new UI designs in HTML/CSS/JS based on mock-up PSD/Sketch files supplied by a designer. Integrating third-party and platform partner apps.
Able to code and deploy applications in a cross-platform, cross-browser environment, with a focus on mobile site experience and responsive design.
Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites with support from the regional teams
Work closely with Conversions & Campaigns teams to create in-the-moment marketing, UX and promotional campaigns and site enhancements (landing pages, popups, gamification, lead gen forms, etc.) to increase conversion and revenue.
Responsible for thorough QA testing work prior to submission; manage the QA and deployment process with regional Tech.
Adhere to high engineering standards and bring consistency to the many codebases and processes you will encounter.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization such as product, design, infrastructure and operations.
Troubleshoot and solve bugs as they arise, and to identify areas for site improvement.
Job requirements
Relevant Degree qualifications with at least 1 year of experience on Shopify Websites Development.
Basic-level knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating language.
An expertise in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript.
An expertise in JavaScript libraries (e.g. jQuery).
Experience deploying web analytics and tags for Google Analytics, Tag Manager & Optimize.
A thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues & responsive web design best practices.
Understanding of basics of SEO and its implementation for Shopify sites.
