Business Litigation Associate (Attorney)

 Job Description:

We are working with a prominent, regional firm seeking a Business Litigation Associate with at least four years of experience to join their Stamford, Hartford, or New Haven office.

Ideal candidates will have experience in complex commercial litigation and/or bankruptcy (preferred). They will be responsible for matters from case inception to settlement or trial, including drafting memoranda, pleadings, discovery demands and responses, motions, and briefs; researching various factual and legal issues and collaborating with senior attorneys about strategies; examining records and transactions underlying business disputes and investigations as to potential client claims; managing discovery, including taking and defending deposition; attending court appearances; preparing for trial and representing clients in courtroom and mediation/arbitration proceedings.

The candidate must have experience with Connecticut State Court and Federal Court practice, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent research and writing skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high level organizational skills, the ability to manage competing priorities, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Connecticut Bar admission required. Admission to the New York and/or Massachusetts Bar is a plus!
