Job Summary: A ServiceNow Business Analyst identifies and defines business requirements to optimize processes through the ServiceNow platform. They play a key role in aligning business goals with technical solutions by facilitating communication between stakeholders and development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Gathers, analyzes, documents and validates the clients needs in an Agile environment and makes the necessary specifications (writing / validating User stories, sorting and prioritizing backlog, testing, etc.);
- Understands and prioritizes technical User Stories;
- Provides functional testing of Stories developed by the Agile team;
- Leads discussions with the teams involved in the process to agree on the objectives, scope, constraints, benefits and acceptance criteria and detail them so that they are understood by the developers team in order to be developed;
- Makes sure that changes to processes and systems are discussed and understood by relevant teams;
- Acts as the communication link between the business stakeholders, the project team and all solution providers, whether internal or external developers;
- Works with the Project Managers to detail the requirements and notify the size so that the Project Manager can plan delivery timelines based on project size, benefits and relative priorities;
- Works with the Project Managers to track and report project progress against milestones, identify and resolve issues and dependencies during the life of each project;
- Works with development and quality analyst teams to define and provide thoroughly tested systems that meet the requirements of their users;
- Ensures that software solutions meet the business needs and are fit for purpose both during iterative releases and once complete and are signed off as accepted by the relevant business owner(s);
- Thoroughly revises the project delivery methodology to increase quality and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Clear understanding the development of Agile software as well as its advantages and disadvantages, to ensure its optimal implementation, plus has experience with tools to support Agile development;
- Understand how ServiceNow can enable the business to become more productive and configure the platform to achieve measurable benefits and maximise outcomes;
- Automatic and manual functional testing skills;
- Experience in Software Development is a plus;
- A team player with a proven track record in supporting software change;
- Able to multi-task, working on several in-flight projects at any one time;
- Relevant experience interacting directly with project stakeholders and end users;
- Self-motivated, conscientious and focused on detail, with an ambition to deliver quality software solutions;
- A quick learner and able to understand the client's requirements as well as to ask all the necessary questions to disambiguate his request;
- Able to decode the clients request and to translate it from a technical language into a standard one;
- Self-confident and willing to facilitate workshops designed for the teams involved in the process and to conduct the meetings in an efficient way.
