ROLE DETAILS

Job Title: Lead Dev (Job Ref. Y6687689) 

Job Type: Full-time, remote

Effort Schedule: 8 Hours/Day

Project Communication & Documents: English

Responsibilities:

• Define and maintain the overall technical architecture for both front-end and back-end components.

• Mentor and guide developers on best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.

• Drive the development of first functioning prototypes and ensure scalability for production.

• Collaborate with the Product Owner to prioritize features based on value/effort ratio.

• Break down complex requirements into actionable stories and tasks

• Distribute tasks among team members based on skills, experience, and workload.

• Document technical solutions and implementation details for the team.

• Establish and enforce automated testing strategies (unit, API, integration, functional) within a CI/CD pipeline.

• Monitor and improve code quality, performance, and security across the stack.

• Promote and implement best practices for maintainability and scalability.

• Take responsibility for the technical success and quality of the product.

Technical Skills:

• Strong Java language skills (5+ years)

• Spring/Spring Boot framework familiarity (5+ years)

• Good knowledge of Microservices concepts and patterns

• Good knowledge of REST API concepts

• Messaging and event-based systems (Solace or RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ or Kafka)

• Knowledge of relational (Postgres) and non-relational (Redis, BigQuery) database

• Experience with Angular 4 (or newer) framework and TypeScript (3+ years)

• Familiarity with SCSS, Angular CLI, webpack

• Solid understanding of frontend performance optimisation

• Git source control system hands-on experience

• Scalability experience

• Expertise in automated testing concepts and frameworks

• Go programming language is a plus

• Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, cloud function on GCP or similar are a plus.

Other Skills:

• Familiar with Agile methodology (3+ years experience working in an Agile team)

• Great interpersonal and communication skills

• Fluent in English. French is a plus.
