Maintaining a Standard of Excellence

  • Planning effectively to work on several projects simultaneously to deliver on the day-to-day requirements of the organisation.
  • Researching and developing content that's grounded in insights, data, organisational goals if relevant, and our clients' briefs and objectives.
  • Optimising copywriting by adapting the way in which content is presented to best suit identified target audiences and retail platforms.
  • Paying exemplary attention to detail to ensure that copy is factually correct and without grammatical and spelling errors.
  • Careful proofreading when required of laid-out or relevant print copy (POS, strip ads, etc) to ensure the final content is without errors.
  • Checking month-end and specialist catalogues together with the QA and design teams to ensure error-free copy and design elements that are aligned and consistent with the relevant style.
  • Adhering and contributing to client copywriting guide, tone, and voice.
  • Managing a system of filing and backing up of written collateral.
  • Being open, honest, and timely with feedback to colleagues always with respect.
  • Being open to constructive feedback from colleagues and using this to grow and improve as a writer.
  • Carrying out all duties in accordance with Ogilvy and GO Advertising policies and standards.

Communication and Stakeholder Relationships

  • Working both within a team but also independently as required.

  • Liaising with the Senior Copywriter/Traffic/Client Services to ensure job deadlines are clearly established.
  • Completing copywriting and proofreading within the required timeframes through self-management and proactive initiative.
  • Providing ongoing feedback to relevant team members and other relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Always ensuring priority job management.
