We are seeking a dynamic and talented Retail Account Manager to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in account management, with a specific focus on retail clients. As a Retail Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining strong client relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the successful execution of retail campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail clients, understanding their business objectives, and serving as the main point of contact.
    • Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for growth and propose effective retail marketing strategies.
  2. Campaign Planning and Execution:

    • Develop and implement retail marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with client objectives and brand guidelines.
    • Oversee the end-to-end execution of campaigns, including coordination with creative teams, media planning, and monitoring campaign performance.
  3. Strategic Thinking:

    • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to provide strategic insights and recommendations to clients.
    • Work closely with internal teams to develop innovative and effective retail solutions that drive results.
  4. Budget Management:

    • Manage project budgets effectively, ensuring the delivery of high-quality campaigns within budget constraints.
    • Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to clients and internal stakeholders.
  5. Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, media, and digital, to ensure seamless execution of retail campaigns.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment within the agency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in retail account management within an advertising or marketing agency.
  • Strong understanding of retail marketing trends and consumer behavior.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
