We are looking for a Digital Creative Director

As the Digital Creative Director, you will serve as the creative lead for multiple digital and social business lines. Passionate about social-first ideas and adept at tapping into cultural insights, you will create relevant and impactful pieces that inspire. Your role will require excellent leadership skills to develop and guide your team, while consistently reviewing and optimizing their work.

Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with the Social.Lab / C2 teams to deliver exceptional creative content for social and digital channels. Additionally, you will collaborate with the broader Ogilvy team to produce world-class campaigns. We are seeking someone who possesses a deep interest and passion for social media, disruptive thinking, and challenging established channels to achieve measurable business results.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Leading the development and delivery of social creative solutions, from content work to larger campaign initiatives, for diverse clients and industries. This includes executing work independently as well as managing and approving the work of your assigned creative team.
  • Assist in leading and winning new business pitches.
  • Reviewing and optimizing the work produced by your team, ensuring their growth as creative problem solvers.
  • Mentoring team leads, including designers / Art Directors, writers, and Motion designers
  • Providing high-level concept guidance and approvals.
  • Collaborating with Group Account Directors and Project Managers to nurture internal team relationships and optimize processes.
  • Assist in the development of company-wide creative processes, such as content workshops, brief sessions, high-priority brainstorms, emerging technology and social opportunities, and innovative campaign work.
  • Offering constructive feedback to foster a team of social-first thinkers and makers.
  • Supporting the Creative Partner and Leadership in hiring and staffing plans.
  • Assist the Creative Partner in approving and conducting performance reviews.
  • Participating in and providing leadership during high-priority project briefs and kick-off sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate would have the following background:

  • 10 years + experience in a creative environment
  • Agency experience required and essential
  • Working with global markets is an advantage
  • Ability to independently carry out a concept from start to completion, while also managing and delegating as needed.
  • Skillful in using both writing and design to deliver best-in-class creative presentations.
  • Capable of gaining client confidence as a leader who can manage work while effectively interpreting their brands.
  • Acts as a direct line of support to senior leadership, including C-level stakeholders, ensuring outstanding creative work that aligns with brand objectives. Provides clear support and communication to the senior team regarding ongoing initiatives.
  • Adaptable and open to new processes, platform changes, and emerging technologies.
  • Maintains composure and positivity, serving as a positive influence on the floor and with the team.
  • Embraces the belief that big ideas can originate from anywhere and encourages this mindset among the team.
  • Demonstrates mastery of industry best practices and effectively articulates C2 and Social.Lab's unique point of view.
  • Possesses an equal understanding of and passion for both content and campaign strategies and fosters this attitude among the team, recognizing that neither is more important than the other.
  • Communicates effectively, managing upwards to the Creative Partner and leadership, and downwards to the team.
  • Solution-oriented when facing challenges or obstacles.
  • Keeps up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Demonstrates a strong creative vision and understanding of client/agency business needs and objectives.
  • Able to distinguish between good and great work.
  • Exhibits a solid understanding of brands across various sectors.
