POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a creative, curious, and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our team and help bring the OliOli®s mission to life for families, educators, and the wider community. This internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic, kid-focused environment where learning and play go hand in hand.

The Marketing Intern will support the Head of Marketing in a variety of tasks, including audience research, content creation, social media management, event promotion, and community outreach. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, design, and building connections with target audiences.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Audience Research:

  • Conduct research to understand families, educators, and community groups who visit the museum.
  • Help gather feedback from visitors to improve our offerings.

Content Creation:

  • Assist in creating engaging, family-friendly content for social media, newsletters, and the museum website.
  • Help design colorful graphics or short videos showcasing exhibits, events, and educational programs.
  • Design signage and materials for internal use using Canva.

Social Media Management:

  • Assist in posting museum announcements, special events, and exhibits.
  • Track social media engagement (likes, shares, comments) and prepare weekly or monthly reports.
  • Monitor and respond to comments or messages with a friendly, approachable tone.
  • Stay informed about and propose new trends applicable to our audience.

Event Promotion:

  • Support the hosting of events, workshops, and seasonal programs (e.g., camps).
  • Help create flyers, posters, and digital invitations.
  • Assist in capturing photos or videos during events for future marketing use.

Community Engagement:

  • Coordinate partnerships with local organizations and family groups.
  • Assist with outreach efforts to promote museum programs in the community.
  • Help identify new community partners and opportunities for collaboration.

Administrative Support:

  • Assist the Head of Marketing with daily tasks and special projects.
  • Organize marketing materials, update contact lists and blogger databases, and assist with scheduling their visits.
  • Help maintain the marketing calendar to ensure timely execution of campaigns and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal. Arabic is a plus.
  • Prior experience within marketing, admin, or events is a plus.
  • Experience with Canva and video editing software/apps.
  • Ability to work within a highly diverse and multicultural environment.
