About the job Plant Manager
Reports to: Managing Director
Team: to manage 25 employees from Production,Purchasing, Logistics
Responsibilities:
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement the operational strategy for the area of responsibility as an integral part of the overall Company strategy.
- Build, lead, and develop a qualified and motivated team through effective technical and disciplinary leadership.
- Assess, coach, and develop direct reports; decide on individual personnel measures in coordination with HR.
- Ensure effective people management for indirectly reporting employees within the line and functional structure.
Operations & Process Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day plant operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service levels, and cost-effective use of resources.
- Define, implement, and continuously optimize processes and organizational structures to drive operational excellence.
- Monitor production output and adjust manpower, materials, or processes to meet production targets.
- Review and analyze production, quality, maintenance, and operational reports to proactively address issues.
- Ensure efficient and effective use of internal IT systems and maintain proper process documentation.
Resource & Financial Management
- Plan and manage human, material, and financial resources within the approved budget.
- Set annual plant budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Identify budget deviations early and initiate corrective actions in coordination with management.
- Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment effectively to optimize productivity and cost.
Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Define internal regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable legal, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment by enforcing sanitation, quality, and safety procedures.
- Initiate corrective and preventive actions in case of deviations or non-compliance.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and unforeseen events to minimize operational disruption.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, quality assurance, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Engage with suppliers and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and reliable raw material supply.
- Represent the plant in interactions with senior management, customers, regulators, and external partners.
Sustainability & Industry Best Practices
- Implement sustainability initiatives and monitor environmental impact.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in food manufacturing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with safety, quality, and sustainability goals.
