We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Interim Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join a busy hospital in Southern California undergoing strategic transformation. This role is ideal for a proven healthcare operations leader who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about improving the intersection between operational leadership, physician relations, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead operational transformation efforts with a focus on clinical integration and cross-functional alignment.
  • Build and strengthen physician relationships to support greater trust, transparency, and joint accountability.
  • Identify and implement strategies that enhance patient care delivery, improve outcomes, and support quality initiatives.
  • Guide hospital teams through change management processes while sustaining day-to-day operational excellence.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing, finance, HR, and other administrative functions to ensure cohesive execution of hospital priorities.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven track record as a COO within an acute care setting with experience driving change and cultural alignment
  • Demonstrated success in improving physician relations
  • Deep understanding of patient-centered care models and value-based delivery strategies
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; capable of quickly building credibility across clinical and administrative teams
  • Availability to begin within 2-4 weeks from date of offer, and to be on-site in Los Angeles for the duration of the engagement.
