Flatbed Driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to traffic laws, and excellent customer service skills. The Truck Driver will operate different types of trucks, including flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Duties

• Operate trucks with manual transmission and various trailer types including flatbed, tanker, and refrigerated trailers.
• Safely load and unload freight using forklifts when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while adhering to regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
• Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Ensure the truck is clean and well-maintained at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
• Familiarity with various types of freight transport including flatbed, tanker, and refrigerated loads is preferred.
• Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in logistics is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations related to truck driving and freight handling.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
