Our Client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team within the communications industry. As a Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving growth across Ireland by developing existing key accounts and winning new business. This is a highly visible role with real autonomy and impact.

You will play a pivotal part in expanding our market presence nationwide, particularly as we continue to scale and strengthen our footprint through the business, If you thrive in a field-based, relationship-led sales role and enjoy seeing the direct results of your efforts, this opportunity offers both challenge and reward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of key customer accounts across Ireland
  • Conduct daily face-to-face client meetings, balanced between new business development and account management
  • Proactively identify and generate qualified new leads through networking, outreach, and market activity
  • Deliver engaging, consultative sales presentations that clearly demonstrate value, solutions, and ROI
  • Follow up all client visits within 24 hours to progress opportunities and agree next steps
  • Build, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline, ensuring all activity is accurately logged in the CRM
  • Prepare and present proposals and quotations, driving opportunities through to successful close
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth, professional customer journey from sale to delivery
  • Conduct structured quarterly business reviews with key clients to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and evolving product solutions

Requirements

  • Proven success in B2B field sales within a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience within telecommunications or two-way radio solutions is highly advantageous
  • Self-motivated, organised, and capable of effectively planning and managing your territory across Ireland
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and structured sales methodologies
  • Strong IT skills and confidence using digital tools
  • Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Ireland
  • To demonstrate your sales capability, the interview process will include a live sales pitch or presentation
