About the job Business Development

Requirements :

  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Business Management is required. A degree in a relevant technical discipline such as Geology, Geophysics, or Reservoir Engineering (GGRE) is highly preferred.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in technical sales, business development, or client management within the oil and gas sector (having experience in petrochemical is advantage).
  • Language Proficiency: Strong fluency in English (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in managing B2B technical sales cycles, especially for oil & gas software, engineering solutions, or digital transformation technologies.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage both strategic and operational aspects of business development.
  • Advanced proficiency in CRM systems, MS Office, and digital collaboration tools.
  • In-depth understanding of upstream procurement and tender regulations in Indonesia.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to travel and lead key meetings, client visits, and partner coordination activities.

Preferred but Not Mandatory:

  • Experience working directly with or for international software/service providers.
  • Prior involvement in sales team building or organizational development initiatives.
  • Knowledge of contract negotiation and risk management in technical sales agreements.

Job Descriptions :

  • Drive the promotion and sales strategy of partner products and services to upstream oil & gas operators across Indonesia.
  • Lead client acquisition and relationship management efforts, including technical presentations, product demonstrations, and strategic meetings.
  • Oversee and coordinate all sales activities, including:
    o Client outreach via multiple channels (calls, emails, visits)
    o Tender process representation: prequalification, submission, negotiation, and clarification
    o Administrative and commercial documentation support
  • Serve as the primary liaison between international partners and Indonesian clients, ensuring transparent, technically sound, and timely communication.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of ongoing projects, ensuring smooth implementation, progress monitoring, issue resolution, and after sales support.
  • Supervise and mentor junior sales or technical staff, providing guidance on client handling, product knowledge, and internal processes.
  • Contribute to the development of sales strategies, pricing approaches, and market expansion planning.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, client feedback, and partner satisfaction to support strategic reporting and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify new business opportunities, industry trends, and emerging client needs.
