Crop Production Coordinator

About Clients :

A leading energy company specializing in exploration and production of oil and gas, with a strong focus on natural resources and sustainability. The company is actively engaged in offshore exploration activities and collaborates with local authorities to support energy transition efforts, including initiatives in agri-feedstock development and carbon reduction.

Requirements :

• Experience in agricultural and agroforestry development projects, analysis of existing supply chains and production potential of agricultural biomass also for industrial use.
• Ability to design and manage large-scale agricultural and agroforestry interventions.
• Knowledge of agricultural and agro-forestry production systems, with particular reference to contract farming mechanisms and/or agro-industrial initiatives
• Excellent coordination and reporting skills
• Interpersonal skills, teamworking and management.
• Proficiency in Ms Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Environmental Engineering or Natural Sciences, or the relevant qualifications or any other relevant field.
• Minimum experience of 10 years in a similar role or field.
• Good knowledge of English language

Job Descriptions :

• Support the definition of the environmental and geo-pedological characteristics for the development of vegetable oil production initiatives (bio feedstock).
• Support the analysis of local agricultural contexts in the country and agricultural production systems in rural areas.
• Support in the identification, implementation and monitoring of the most appropriate intervention models for vertical integration projects in bio feedstock chains in his area of assignment.
• Coordinate the activities of the field officers assigned to his area
• Ensure monitoring of the farming activities in his area, timely detection of any operational issues and implementation of mitigation/corrective actions
• Coordinate field activities performed by other contractors involved in the agricultural supply chain (such as aggregator or farmers, agronomic input support providers)
• Support other company initiatives (environmental awareness, communications campaigns, local content, etc.) which contribute to agriculture development as requested.
• Ensure coordination of agricultural production with other company contractors in charge of logistics and tolling services for oil extraction
• Coordinate with the local communities as required for performance of the services.
