About the job Technical Sales

Requirements :

  • Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in petroleum engineering or technical sales within the oil and gas sector.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong fluency in English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated experience with B2B technical sales, preferably in oilfield software, digital solutions, or subsurface technology.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and remote presentation platforms.
  • Familiarity with Indonesian tender regulations, especially within upstream oil & gas procurement.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, capable of managing multiple client demands while maintaining partner alignment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative and professionalism.
  • Willingness to travel for client visits, technical meetings, and project support across Indonesia.

Preferred but Not Mandatory:

  • Experience working with international software vendors or as a technical sales representative in an agency/distributor capacity.
  • Knowledge of digital transformation trends in the oil and gas industry (geoscience software, production optimization).

Job Descriptions :

  • Lead the promotion and technical sales of partner products and services to oil & gas operators.
  • Execute sales activities, including:
  • Direct client outreach via calls, emails, and scheduled visits
  • Delivery of technical presentations, live product demonstrations, and proposal meetings
  • Usage of sales enablement tools and marketing assets to support client engagement
  • Act as a communication bridge between clients and international software/service partners, ensuring clarity, technical accuracy, and responsiveness.
  • Represent the company and partners in tender processes, including pre-qualification, proposal submission, clarification, and negotiation phases.
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of ongoing projects, including coordination with internal teams, partners, and clients to ensure smooth delivery, issue resolution, and post-sales support.
