ABOUT CLIENTS :

The Japanese company specializes in sustainable energy solutions through advanced seismic monitoring technologies. It developed the Portable Active Seismic Source (PASS), a compact and cost-effective tool for subsurface monitoring, particularly useful in Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), geothermal energy, oil and gas exploration, and infrastructure monitoring.

REQUIREMENTS :

• A geophysicist with experience in the oil & gas or geothermal sectors
• Actively engaged in seismic data interpretation and also responsible for team management
• Must have experience in body wave analysis; experience with surface wave analysis is a plus
• Available for full-time work and located in a time zone close to Japan (Asia region preferred). Japanese nationality is not required
• Willing and able to take on new analytical methods in addition to existing ones
• Preferably able to write or at least understand programming code
• Fluent in English

JOB DESCRIPTIONS :

• Manage task assignments for the analysis team, provide appropriate guidance, and ensure output quality
• Conduct seismic data interpretation personally
• Collaborate with Professor to continuously incorporate new analytical methods and disseminate them across the team
• Present findings at academic conferences and industry events
• Plan survey strategies and explain results to clients
• Conduct field surveys for designing measurement campaigns
• Collect geological data in the field
