Agronomist Innovation Coordinator

About Client:

A leading energy company specializing in exploration and production of oil and gas, with a strong focus on natural resources and sustainability. The company is actively engaged in offshore exploration activities and collaborates with local authorities to support energy transition efforts, including initiatives in agri-feedstock development and carbon reduction.

Role Description:

Responsible for overseeing agricultural research activities. Develop new crops, innovative technologies, agricultural systems to support the company agricultural development objectives. Registration and introduction in the country for research and commercial purposes of plant varieties on interest for the company. Overseeing implementation of company in country seed production program and sourcing of planting seeds.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences with preference for specializations in Tropical Agronomy, Environment and Bioenergy.
• At least 10 years of experience in the design and management of agro-industrial supply chains, preferably aimed at the energy sectors; previous experience in APAC region or in the bioenergy.
• Knowledge of agricultural digital solution and interest in agro-innovation
• Knowledge in tracking and mapping systems (GIS, etc)
• Good experience in agricultural research trial.
• Knowledge of agricultural regulations and, if possible, reference on renewable energy from biomass, biofuels, certifications, and general environmental and social sustainability criteria.
