Sr Geotechnical Engineer

Job Descriptions :

• Perform the jobs related to responsibility to respect the HSE policies, Code of Conduct and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Analyse specific incoming request on particular Geotechnical operations upon Coordinator instruction.
• Perform clarification on the request with end user.
• Support Coordinator for contract and procurement process (including tender documents, technical evaluation matrix, JRA, HSE evaluation to bidders, etc).
• Deliver the jobs related to responsibility to meet optimum and best quality of results.
• Supervise and validate data processing.
• Plan, supervise, and interpret geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, testing, and analysis.
• Assess site conditions, including soil composition, groundwater behavior, and geological factors, to inform project design.
• Perform detailed geotechnical design calculations for foundations (shallow and deep), retaining walls, slope stability, and earthworks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices within the team.
• Occasionally visit construction sites to observe conditions, verify soil properties, and monitor construction work.
• Review and approve the work of junior staff, ensuring high-quality output and adherence to project specifications and standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior geotechnical engineers and technicians, providing guidance on technical aspects and professional development.
• Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate geotechnical input into overall project design.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements :

• S1 Geotechnical Engineer
• Min 15 years of experience
• Basic knowledge of geotechnical
• Familiar with Geo Slope, Plaxis 2D
• Domiciled in Balikpapan
