Finance Expert

Mercor is recruiting U.S.-based Finance Experts for a research project with a leading foundational model AI lab.

You are a good fit if you:

• Have at least 2 years of experience working in investment banking or private equity at top U.S. firms
• Have been involved in facilitating major financial transactions (M&A, IPO, etc.)
• Have a strong understanding of core principles in finance and accounting

Here are more details about the role:

• The work is fully asynchronous and can be done around your schedule
• You must be able to commit at least 20 hours per week for this role
• This contract is expected to last 2-3 weeks (starting week of 3/10 - 3/17) with potential to be extended depending on quality of work and engagement
• Successful contributions increase the odds that you are selected on future projects with Mercor
• The vetting process involves:
  • ~10 minute behavioral interview asking about previous deals youve worked on
  • Technical assessment ( < 30 minutes) evaluating understanding of financial statements and calculations

With respect to pay and legal status:

• This role will pay between $90-$150/USD depending on experience and background
• We will pay you out at the end of each week via Stripe Connect based on the number of hours you log
• You will be classified as an at-will contractor to Mercor
• Please note that we cannot currently support H1-B or STEM OPT status candidates
