Job Description
The Rotating Equipment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, operation, and reliability of all rotating machinery, including pumps, compressors, turbines, fans, and gearboxes. This role ensures the efficient and safe performance of rotating equipment by leading field teams, coordinating preventive and corrective actions, and driving technical excellence in accordance with operational standards and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision and Planning: Supervise daily activities related to the inspection, repair, and maintenance of rotating equipment. Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
Technical Execution: Lead the diagnosis and troubleshooting of mechanical issues in pumps, compressors, fans, and other rotating assets. Oversee disassembly, inspection, alignment, reassembly, and commissioning of rotating components. Ensure proper lubrication, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring are performed regularly.
Team Coordination: Assign work orders, supervise contractors and technicians, and ensure safe and timely execution. Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to junior personnel.
Compliance and Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities. Conduct risk assessments, safety briefings, and incident reporting.
Asset Management and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts, equipment history, and performance reports. Contribute to failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Support the preparation of maintenance budgets and parts procurement plans.
Interface and Support: Collaborate with engineering, operations, and reliability teams to identify and implement solutions to recurring failures. Coordinate vendor and OEM support when required for critical repairs or upgrades.
