The Role

The IT Operations & Security Specialist will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing our company's information technology infrastructure. This includes daily IT operations and security processes. The successful candidate must have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen understanding of the latest security threats and best practices..

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and systems.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect sensitive data, systems, and networks from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction.
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and security incidents.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data.
  • Coordinate with other IT professionals to develop and implement effective cyber security strategies and processes.
  • Respond to and manage security incidents, including conducting investigations, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify potential security gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on information security best practices and company policies.
  • Stay current with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to recommend appropriate solutions for the organization.
  • Collaborate with management to report on IT security status, incidents, and recommend improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT, with a focus on network security, data security, and cyber security.
  • Strong knowledge of information security principles, network protocols, and security technologies (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption, etc.).
  • Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, KVKK).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, vendors and virtualization
  • Strong written and verbal English skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Professional certification in the related areas is a plus.
