Job Description

  • Lead and manage a team of physicists, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and professional guidance across research, development, and productization.
  • Drive and oversee the development of next-generation optical microscopy systems, optical assemblies, and advanced metrology technologies.
  • Guide key technical decisions related to optical components, cameras, illumination sources, sensors, and opto-electronic assemblies.
  • Provide direction and oversight for simulations, experiments, and validation activities, including acceptance and test methodologies.
  • Lead the team in addressing complex technological challenges and delivering high-impact physics-based solutions.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams, including algorithms, systems, applications, product, support, and customers, and collaborate with leading optical and opto-electronics vendors.

Requirements

  • PhD or MSc with a relevant thesis in Applied Physics, Electro-Optics, or a related field.
  • Strong background in optics – Mandatory.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a physics or R&D team.
  • Broad technological exposure and experience working in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Experience in the semiconductor equipment industry – An advantage.
  • Experience with optical simulation tools (e.g., Zemax, LightTools) – An advantage.
  • Background or familiarity with AI and data-driven approaches – An advantage.
