Electronics NPI Team Leader
A leading company that develops and manufactures night vision detectors, located in Misgav, is seeking an Electronics Engineering Team Leader.
The role includes broad responsibility for leading the electronics engineering team through the transition from development to production (NPI), ongoing production support, failure analysis, process improvement, and managing interfaces with manufacturing subcontractors both in Israel and abroad.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leading NPI Processes
- Implementing the transition process of electronic boards from development to production.
- Establishing and implementing DFM (Design for Manufacturing) processes.
- Establishing and implementing testability strategies and DFT (Design for Testability) processes.
- Participating in development reviews and executing gates within the NPI process.
- Serving as the professional authority for managing electronic manufacturing services (EMS) subcontractors.
- Qualifying manufacturers and monitoring compliance with manufacturing processes and standards.
2. Failure Analysis (FA)
- Leading failure analysis processes within operations.
- Routing failure investigations to electronics development and/or manufacturers as required.
- Resolving component-level issues.
- Rapidly learning and implementing horizontal improvement activities.
3. Operational Support
- Providing ongoing support for production and production workflow, including handling deviations and quality events.
- Providing engineering ownership and support to the electronics assembly department (e.g., DDH).
- Serving as a professional authority, including writing procedures, specifications, training materials, instructions, etc.
- Leading ECO and CCB processes within the domain, in coordination with the development group.
- Managing EOL (End of Life) processes professionally, while synchronizing between the supply chain and development group.
4. Managing Knowledge Centers & Capability Development
- Designing and implementing functional tests and JTAG testing.
- Ensuring compliance of test versions across different manufacturers.
- Component engineering.
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) engineering.
- Professionally managing and leading the electronics engineering team in operations, including managing a team of engineers, leading interfaces with development, production, quality, procurement, and subcontractors, and building production-supporting engineering processes.
Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Electronics / Electrical Engineering – Mandatory.
- Over 3 years of experience in managing an electronics team – Mandatory.
- Proven knowledge and experience in DFT and DFM domains.
- Experience in leading NPI processes and transition from development to production.
- Expertise in electronic board manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Practical knowledge and experience in reading schematics, electrical diagrams, and PCBs.
- Ability to analyze failures at the component and board level.
- Experience working with measurement and testing equipment.
Advantages:

- Experience with JTAG, functional testing, or automated test equipment (ATE).
