Database Support Engineer

Job Description

Technical Skills: RDBMS, DBMS, SQL, Stored procedures MSSQL, Internet information service (IIS)

Experience: 1-2 years

1. Well versed with Installing and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server 2000\2005\2008\2012 environments for Transaction Processing

2. Reporting and Integration Services

3. Monitoring and troubleshooting SQL servers issues using system

4. Monitor, SQL Log, Event viewer.

5. Performance tuning and Health Checks using System Monitor and SQL

6. Implementation and maintenance of database backup and restoration

7. strategies for disaster Recovery and data distribution

8. Security and grants, managing permissions for user/logins and assigning server/database roles.

9. Fetching required data (Reports) from the database for the customers

10. Backing up, restoring the data base manually and also by scheduling the jobs and maintenance Plans.

11. Configuring and trouble shootings in SSRS and RDL files

12. Rebuilding the indexes at regular intervals for better performance

13. Performed BCP, BULK INSERT, Imported and Exported data from

14. Different Data Sources. Monitoring SQL server performance using profiler to find performance.
