Purpose of the job
Responsible for the entire software application lifecycle, including designing, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. This role ensures that the technical deliverables align with business requirements and operational objectives, providing reliable and effective application solutions
Duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate the design, development, testing, and deployment of new software applications and enhancements using relevant programming languages and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Assess the resolution of complex application incidents (often L2/L3 support), performing root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with development teams and vendors to implement long-term fixes and enhancements.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure application architecture aligns with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of all issues and solutions, prepare reports on support metrics and project status for management.
Job specification
Education
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
Experience
- From 2-3 years of professional experience in application development and support.
Skills and abilities
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, SQL).
- Technical Background in Databases like (Oracle, SQL Server).
- Experience with operating systems like UNIX/Linux/Windows and modern web technologies.
- Experience with OpenShift , microservices and DevOps is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer service orientation.
